Since its establishment in 1969, the Urban League of London, a non-profit registered charity, acts as an umbrella organization for community groups in London. It is composed of representatives from neighbourhood associations and city-wide organizations.
The objective of the Urban League is to enhance the quality of life in London by encouraging citizen participation in community and civic affairs and by promoting, facilitating and initiating innovative projects that contribute to the community's well-being.
The Urban League also serves as a support network for its member associations, offering information and resources so that they can effectively implement their own local initiatives.

Monthly Meetings
The Urban League meets on the last Thursday evening of most months (not in Dec., July or August, unless something urgent arises). The June meeting is the Annual General Meeting and is usually held earlier in the month so as not to conflict with summer holidays. Meetings are held at Grosvenor Lodge at 7:30 p.m., with networking from 7:00 - 7:30 p.m. Meetings are open to any interested persons. These monthly meetings provide member groups with the opportunity to find out what is happening city-wide, to network with other member groups, and to get information and support for their own issues and projects. Individuals or groups seeking advice on local community concerns that involve planning, traffic or environmental issues are invited to bring their concerns to our monthly meeting or to contact the Urban League.![]()
