With Londoners packing the gallery, city politicians said last night they'd go to court to protect a wetland from a road to a proposed development. Sifton Properties wants to build a 60-metre road across a wetland north of Fanshawe Park Road and northeast of North Centre Road. City staff supported Sifton's plan after the Ontario Municipal Board also backed it. But residents say the board erred and city staff dropped the ball, concerns that resonated with politicians on the city's planning committee. The committee's recommendation goes to council next Monday.
